170 years of the horse racing event ‘Waregem Koerse’

Unfortunately, there was no Waregem Koerse in the 'corona year' 2020. To ease the pain, you could still come and soak up the atmosphere of this annual high day at the Gaverbeek hippodrome from 1 August. A unique, temporary exhibition there showcased more than 170 years of Waregem Koerse. Using beautiful posters and photos, you could relive dozens of editions of this spectacular horse event.

At HIPPO.WAR, you also have a great view of the hippodrome. The exhibition gave a clear picture of the evolution Waregem Koerse (and the hippodrome) has gone through. You saw iconic images of the jumps over the Gaverbeek and could admire photos of some special moments in the history of Waregem Koerse.
